Safety

At Wino Event Company, doing business as Texas Winos, Wino, and Winos ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), the health, safety, and physical well-being of our guests, staff, transport drivers, and venue partners are our highest priorities. Because our experiences incorporate regional transport, marine charters, open-air festival spaces, and alcohol service, we enforce strict, non-negotiable safety standards. By purchasing a ticket or attending our events, you agree to adhere strictly to the guidelines outlined below.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: The Company maintains a strict zero-tolerance stance regarding underage alcohol consumption, aggressive behavior, and actions that compromise active transit safety. Non-compliance will result in immediate removal from the experience without a refund.

1. RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION & COMPLIANCE

Our events highlight regional viticulture and craft beverage creation, but consumer safety demands moderation. All guest experiences are governed by the following criteria:

  • Age Verification: Valid, government-issued photographic identification (Driver’s License or Passport) is required for event access. In strict compliance with Texas TABC and California ABC regulations, individuals under twenty-one (21) years of age are strictly prohibited from participating or consuming alcohol.
  • Intoxication Thresholds: We operate alongside hosts bound by state dram shop acts. Venue bartenders, tour guides, and transport operators are legally mandated to refuse alcohol service or entry to any guest exhibiting visible indicators of excessive intoxication.
  • Safe Transit Planning: We passionately advocate for alternate transit arrangements following our experiences. We strongly encourage all guests to arrange for designated drivers, taxicab services, or rideshare applications (like Uber or Lyft) to guarantee a secure return home.

2. TRANSIT & SHUTTLE SAFETY MANDATES

While traveling aboard our chartered tour buses and multi-passenger shuttles, passengers are contractually required to prioritize vehicle stabilization metrics:

  • Passenger Positioning: Guests must remain fully seated with safety restraints secured (where available) while the transit shuttle is in active motion. Standing, dancing, walking down aisles, or hanging out of windows during transit is strictly prohibited.
  • Prohibited Substances: Federal and state transportation rules prohibit smoking, vaping, or the use of illicit substances aboard any corporate multi-passenger vehicle. Open containers of high-proof distilled liquor are not permitted on board inside the passenger compartments.

3. WATERCRAFT & MARINE OPERATIONS SAFETY

Our boat parties and aquatic experiences are executed under the strict jurisdictional oversight of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and local marine authorities. Guests must yield unconditionally to the safety directives delivered by the ship's licensed Captain and marine crew:

  • Boarding and Spatial Safety: Guests must exhibit caution when crossing gangways, stepping over elevated thresholds, or moving across wet decks. Running, sitting on protective exterior railings, or climbing structural boat rigs is completely forbidden.
  • Emergency Procedures: Prior to casting off, the vessel's crew will deliver a mandatory marine safety briefing outlining the location of life jackets, emergency flotation tools, and exit pathways. Full guest attention is mandatory during this briefing.

4. FESTIVAL GROUND RULES & MEDICAL ACCESS

Our large-scale outdoor tasting festivals feature expansive spatial layouts. To preserve overall crowd safety, we institute the following perimeter controls:

  • Prohibited Items: Weapons of any variant, firearms, explosives, illegal substances, external glass beverage containers, and personal shade canopies are barred from entry checkpoints. All bags are subject to visual inspection by security staff at the front gates.
  • Hydration and Sun Safety: Because open-air vineyard environments feature prolonged sun exposure, the Company integrates free hydration water stations across all festival layouts. We encourage guests to pace their tasting experiences with adequate water intake.
  • First Aid Access: All festival environments include a clearly marked First Aid medical tent staffed by certified emergency responders to manage acute health concerns or thermal exhaustion cases.

5. CODE OF CONDUCT & RIGHT OF REFUSAL

Wino Event Company is dedicated to curating positive, community-minded events. We require all patrons to interact respectfully with tour coordinators, drivers, venue staff, and fellow attendees.

The Company retains the absolute, unconditional right to refuse service, bar entry, or eject any individual who exhibits verbally abusive, physically threatening, or reckless behaviors that place the safety of the tour or festival environment at risk. Individuals ejected under this section immediately forfeit their right to any compensation, credit, or cash refund.
